About Department
The department came in to existence in 2005. Since then 6 batches have been passed out of institute who are working in reputed organizations. The department comprises twelve state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops which are well equipped with the most sophisticated instruments, machinery and test rigs which are mend by experienced faculty and lab instructors. Theory concepts are realized practically in the lab. The objective of the department is to provide high-end professional education for developing human resources with highly specialized knowledge and skills in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
Departmental Activity
Department activities involve organizing industrial visits for the students. In the previous year’s department has organized industrial visit Lakshmi Precision Screws Ltd, Rohtak; Haryana Cooperative Sugar Mill Ltd, Rohtak; Hindustan National Glass Ltd, Bahadurgarh. Apart from this department continuously strive for enhancing research activities. Faculty being sent continuously on short term programme to premier institutes.

We prepare the students according to industries demand and our highly qualified and dedicated faculty will leave no stone unturned in relishing students dream. We have one of the best lab facilities in the state which helps student in understanding theory concept to a large extent. Our main aim is to produce engineers who can utilize their technical knowledge in the growth of the nation. After successful completion of the course Students can switch in the best field of Govt. sector (e.g. Power sector, Transport, Defense etc) and Private sector (e.g. Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning etc).
Labs of ME Department
The Department has following modern Laboratories and Workshops with latest equipments:-
1. Engineering Graphics & Drawing Lab
2. Basics of Mechanical Engg. Lab
3. Computer Aided Design Lab
It consists of latest version of CAD, PRO-E and ANSYS etc software for enhancing the knowledge of the students in the field of design.
4. Heat & Mass Transfer Lab
This lab consist of ultra modern equipment like Forced convection apparatus, Heat exchanger apparatus, Steafan-Boltzman apparatus, Emissivity apparatus to meet the requirements of the industry.
5. Automobile Engg. Lab
This lab consists of overall chassis of modern vehicle with Automatic clutch, Power steering, Different modern fuel injection system.
6. Measurement & Instrumentation Lab

9. Fluid Mechanics & Machine Lab
This lab also have modern test rig of different turbines like Kaplan, Francis and Impulse and apparatus like Hydraulic Ram to meet the requirements of students in the field of Thermal Power plants.
10. Internal Combustion Engine & Gas Turbine Lab
This lab also have modern test rig of four stroke four cylinder petrol and diesel engines to meet the requirements of students in the field of automobile sector.
11. Strength of Material Lab
SOM lab consists of all the modern tester e.g. Impact testing, Torsion testing, UTM and Hardness tester.

RAC lab consists of latest test rig of modern vapour compression cycle, Chilling plant test rig, Vapour absorption test rig and different models of compressor and Evaporator.
14. Workshops (Smithy shop, forging shop, metallurgy shop, Machine shop, Welding shop, Carpentry shop, Foundry shop and Fitting shop)
