Vision
To be a department for transforming students with state-of-the-art technologies in the domain of electrical engineering to handle the challenges of industry and society.
Mission
- To impart an advanced technical curriculum in the field of electrical technologies to students.

PEO 1: To prepare the students for serving at the national and international levels through public and private sector jobs in the field of electrical engineering.
PEO 2: Core knowledge and skills for the design and development of modern electrical systems in the field of electrical engineering.

About Department
Electrical Engineering Department is running since 1995. The department has seventeen well equipped laboratories with the most modern instrument. Apart from the conventional classroom teaching, students are encouraged to practically implement fundamental principles learnt in classroom through experimentations in the laboratories. Apart from that department have separate seminar hall which seating capacity more than 100 seats.
Department of Electrical Engineering also provides facilities of S/W and H/W to meet our latest trends in technology. Students are encouraged to take dissertation as per latest electrical field. Faculty along the students are involved in interacting with industry as well as prominent institutes such as IITs’ and NIT’s. Students / faculty members present their work in National/International Level Conferences and Journals.
More than 30 students are selected as SDO in HVPN,UHBVN and DHBVN Ltd. Apart from govt. Job, many students also joined reputed MNCs like ABB,NHPC, NTPC, Havell’s India Ltd. BHEL etc. Some are also Placed in software field like TCS, Infosys etc.
Departmental Activity
Department activities involve organizing industrial visits like Tehri Dam ,Bhakra Nagal Dam for the students in the previous year’s. Apart from this department continuously strive for enhancing research activities. Faculty being sent continuously on short term programme to premier institutes.
Career Prospective
The development of country is determined by the amount of per capita energy consumption .As far as Electrical Engineering is concerned, we encounter its presence at every step . The birth of maglev trains, miniaturization of devices and higher efficiency achieved are all related in one way or other to Electrical Engineering. Electrical Energy is making life simpler, better, faster, sophisticated, eco-friendly and is widening new horizon of its applications. With the infrastructural development in the country on its peak the future of electrical engineers is very promising and job opportunities are growing.
