The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 1995 offers an Undergraduate program (B. Tech.) as well as a Post Graduate program (M.Tech) in CSE. Both the programs are duly approved with an intake of 120 seats for B.Tech (CSE) and 18 seats for M.Tech (CSE). The department is bestowed with an experienced team of faculty members with excellent academic records & proficiency. The Teaching methodology in the department goes beyond fulfilling the syllabus requirements of the university, to meet today’s industry needs. Faculty motivates and guides the students to do mini projects in core subjects. Fully Wi-Fi campus with excellent infrastructure, one Computer center, and eight state-of-the-art computer labs with the latest advances in technology & comprehensive study material make the department class apart. The department has smart classrooms with Audio-Visual aids and a seminar hall to enhance the analytic & communication skills of students with the mission of inculcating value-based, socially committed professionalism for the overall development of students and society.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech.
Should be pass in 10+2 examination from recognized board/university with Physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects:
Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology
Obtained at least 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category i.e. SC category) in the above subjects taken together.
Lateral entry to 2nd year of B.Tech:
Eligibility: Candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering/Technology course of 3 years duration or more from an AICTE approved institution with at least 45% marks in aggregate(42.75% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category i.e. SC category) of all semesters.
Should be pass in B.SC. degree of minimum 3 years duration from a recognized university with mathematics as a subject and with a minimum of 45% marks(42.75% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category i.e. SC category) marks in aggregate.
Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech. :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent degree in MCA/M.Sc(Computer/IT/Software), M.Sc(Math/Statistics/Physics) or equivalent degree with minimum 50% (Gen) & 47.5%(SC) marks from a recognized University/Institution.
Admission in BCA
Eligibility to take admission in BCA Course as per MDU, Rohtak:
Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) of Board of School Education Haryana. BHiwani with 45% marks in aggregate or an equivalent or reorganized by this University.
Three years Diploma Course Conducted by State Board of Technical Education or any other examination reorganized by the S.B.T.E as equivalent thereto.

Labs of ECE Department
Department labs are well equipped with latest software for B.Tech. as well as M.Tech. students. Practical skills are equally important to theoretical knowledge. Believing in this, we are exploring the students toward the implementation of new ideas along with the university practicals. Students are motivated to prepare their own printed circuit boards in PCB design lab. Our satellite and wireless communication lab is another gem having state-of-art equipment in which students are trained to achieve the practical knowledge about the latest technology. Students are also encouraged to make projects and implement their ideas in the field of robotics, wireless communication, embedded systems etc. The department is fully dedicated to provide educational program that is intentionally directed to the growth of a complete engineer.
Eligibility for B.Tech/B.E.

Admissions shall be made on the basis of the inter se merit of B.E./B.Tech. (LEET) conducted online on the website www.onlinetesthry.nic.in.
Minimum Academic Qualifications for Admission to 2nd year (3rd Semester) of B.E. / B.Tech. Courses:
- Obtained at least 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category i.e. SC category) in aggregate in Diploma in Engg./ Technology of a duration of 3 years or more from Haryana State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent.
- Passed B.Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
- Provided that in case of students belonging to B.Sc stream, shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program along with the second Year subjects.
- Provided further that, the students belonging to B.Sc. stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.
- Provided further those students, who have passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology from an AICTE/UGC approved institute or B.Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, shall also be eligible for admission to the first year Engineering Degree courses subject to vacancies in the first year class in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. However, the admissions shall be based strictly on the eligibility criteria as mentioned in A, B, D and E above.
As per AICTE, seats in lateral entry may be taken up to a maximum of 20% of sanctioned intake.
Eligibility for M.Tech. (ECE)
All seats are filled on the basis of GATE score or B.Tech/B.E percentage through online counseling conducted by DG Technical Education Haryana or MDU, Rohtak.
- First preference in the order: B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronics & Telecom Engineering /Electronics Engineering with 50%(GEN) & 47.5 % (SC) marks in aggregate.
- Second preference in the order: (a) B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering /Control Engineering with 50%(GEN) & 47.5 % (SC) marks in aggregate; (b) Biomedical Engineering /Mechatronics with 50% marks in aggregate.
- Third preference in the order: (a) M.Sc. (Electronics) with 50%(GEN) & 47.5 % (SC) marks in aggregate; (b) M.Sc (Physics with specialization in Electronics) with 50%(GEN) & 47.5 % (SC) marks in aggregate with valid GATE score in Electronics & Comm. Engineering / Electronics Engineering.
Merit will be on the basis of GATE Score. If GATE qualified candidates are not available, then admission will be on the basis of academic merit of the qualifying examination.

The department came in to existence in 2005. Since then 6 batches have been passed out of institute who are working in reputed organizations. The department comprises twelve state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops which are well equipped with the most sophisticated instruments, machinery and test rigs which are mend by experienced faculty and lab instructors. Theory concepts are realized practically in the lab. The objective of the department is to provide high-end professional education for developing human resources with highly specialized knowledge and skills in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
We prepare the students according to industries demand and our highly qualified and dedicated faculty will leave no stone unturned in relishing students dream. We have one of the best lab facilities in the state which helps student in understanding theory concept to a large extent. In the previous year’s department has organized industrial visit Lakshmi Precision Screws Ltd, Rohtak; Haryana Cooperative Sugar Mill Ltd, Rohtak; Hindustan National Glass Ltd, Bahadurgarh. Apart from this department continuously strive for enhancing research activities. Faculty being sent continuously on short term programme to premier institutes.

Electrical Engineering Department is running since 1995. The department has seventeen well equipped laboratories with the most modern instrument. Apart from the conventional classroom teaching, students are encouraged to practically implement fundamental principles learnt in classroom through experimentations in the laboratories. Apart from that department have separate seminar hall which seating capacity more than 100 seats.
Department of Electrical Engineering also provides facilities of S/W and H/W to meet our latest trends in technology. Students are encouraged to take dissertation as per latest electrical field. Faculty along the students are involved in interacting with industry as well as prominent institutes such as IITs’ and NIT’s. Students / faculty members present their work in National/International Level Conferences and Journals.
More than 30 students are selected as SDO in HVPN,UHBVN and DHBVN Ltd. Apart from govt. Job, many students also joined reputed MNCs like ABB,NHPC, NTPC, Havell’s India Ltd. BHEL etc. Some are also Placed in software field like TCS, Infosys etc.

Electrical Energy is making life simpler, better, faster, sophisticated, eco-friendly and is widening new horizon of its applications. The department came in to existence in 1995. The department comprises four laboratories with well equipped instruments and theory concepts are realized practically in labs. The main objectives of the department to develop quest for knowledge and systematic understanding of the basic scientific concepts with improve communication skills of students and to enhance their analytical skills. A devoted and enthusiastic team comprising of faculty members and laboratory staff on one hand and well-laid out laboratories equipped with the latest in the fields of science. In addition to inculcating the practice of following disciplinary instructions in letter and spirit, it also offers pedagogically meaningful curricular activities which ignite the passion of learning in the budding engineers to prepare them for creative and innovative world around them.

The Department of Applied Sciences consists of Engineering Mathematics, Physics, Environment Science, Chemistry and Humanities. All the students of B.Tech. (ECE, EE, CSE and Mechanical) study the Applied Science subjects (common in all branches) in the First year of their respective branch.

1. Physics Lab:
Physics, the most fundamental physical science, is based upon the exact measurement and is concerned with the basic principles of the universe. It is the foundation on which engineering, technology and the other sciences – astronomy, biology, chemistry and geology – are based.
Physics Lab is spacious and well equipped with the latest apparatus, instruments and experiments to be performed as per the Maharishi Dayanand University curriculum. The students are given the exposure on the experiments on Optics, Measuring Instruments, Quantum and Solid State Physics.
2. Chemistry Lab:
Chemistry laboratory is equipped with the equipment to perform the experiments as per Maharishi Dayanand University requirements. The basic aim of Chemistry laboratory is to impart knowledge about the chemical properties of engineering materials and methods for manipulating the properties.
3. Mathematics Lab:
Mathematics Lab is equipped with the latest equipment to perform the experiments as per Maharishi Dayanand University requirements. The students are given the exposure on the experiments to solve the problems based on differential equations.
4. Environment Science Lab:
Environment Science Lab is well equipped with the latest apparatus . The students are given the exposure on the experiments on study the water parameters, measuring meteorological conditions and CO-Levels to aware about industrial pollution.

The MBA programme has of 2years (4 semesters). At the end of the 2nd semester, the students are required to go for summer training with an organization for a period of 8 weeks. This is compulsory component for the completion of the degree to be awarded for a period of 8 weeks. It is designed to provide an exposure to organizations working and develop an understanding of business realities to the students. in the 4th semester, a field based projects is also to be carried out by the students. The curriculum includes courses in 4 semesters as approved by MD University Rohtak.
